This past Saturday, Josh joined us and helped move Jenny’s things up to the third floor of her dorm. (Mike counted twelve trips up and down.) Josh is holding on to his part-time job, plus taking 30 credit hours of mechanical engineering for his senior year at the University of Florida. To help him manage his schedule better, we sold him our Toyota Camry. He is planning to drive to work and bike to classes. Halfway through the summer, Jenny landed two part-time jobs. She sold merchandise at Sea World and also had a desk job at Campus Crusade’s headquarters. One day, as she reported to work at Sea World, she got totally drenched. The wardrobe office gave her a change of uniform and a raincoat. Jenn commented how different her two jobs were. One, where she was on her feet for hours, and the other in an office cubicle. She was glad to finally find work and had fun working in both places. Josh had a summer break from his classes, so when he came down to visit us, we took him out to buy a suit. He had lost quite a lot of weight the last two years, so we were glad to get him a new suit. Ben was able to come for Memorial Day weekend to help us celebrate Jenny’s graduation. It was great to have him with us for a few days. Ben enjoys living in Washington and likes his work. He also had some good news to share with us. He just finished six months of training to be a patent examiner and because he can review a certain number of patents per week, he was given a promotion.
