Josh had a summer break from his classes, so when he came down to visit us, we took him out to buy a suit. He had lost quite a lot of weight the last two years, so we were glad to get him a new suit. Ben was able to come for Memorial Day weekend to help us celebrate Jenny’s graduation. It was great to have him with us for a few days. Ben enjoys living in Washington and likes his work. He also had some good news to share with us. He just finished six months of training to be a patent examiner and because he can review a certain number of patents per week, he was given a promotion. Josh joined a bowling league recently, so when he was visiting us last week, he took Jenny and some of her friends out for some bowling on Jenny’s eighteenth birthday. We had a great time celebrating Jenny’s graduation. Last weekend, we had a party with Ben and Josh, her grandparents and her Aunt Nancy and Uncle Pat. On this weekend, we had a party with her friends. You can see more photos in our family online photo album. Jenny was on the stage because she was in the top twenty of her graduating class of over 700 students. Jenny’s high school had an early morning graduation in the Amway Arena downtown. We were visiting the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola and noticed this lighthouse across the road. We also saw old forts on the Naval Air Station property as we drove out. We highly recommend the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola. We only spent two hours there. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour which gave us a history of the development of naval aviation. This tour is perfect if you only have a short time to visit. If we go back I would want to have more time to see the displays. I would also check ahead to see when they are offering their outside tours and when the Blue Angels are scheduled to practice. We saw some other aircraft landing and taking off while we were there.
