Two Tebows

If you like college football, you might enjoy reading about University of Florida’s quarterback, Tim Tebow, and his brother. Peter Tebow is also at the University of Florida, but as a staff intern of Campus Crusade for Christ. We have enjoyed following Tim Tebow’s college career and the influence he has had as a dedicated follower of Christ. Naturally, we were very interested in learning about Peter Tebow and his influence on others’ lives as well. Two articles and photos about Peter Tebow are available here: • from Campus Crusade’s web site, with a photo of the Tebow family • … Continue reading Two Tebows

Busch Gardens in Tampa

Mike and Sus had an opportunity to go to Busch Gardens for a day. We wanted to see their Christmas shows and their decorations. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed a very good Gospel-style Christmas concert and a great ice skating show. Both shows were very well done. For dinner we also recommend the Zambia Smokehouse in Stanleyville. We were able to share a meal because of the portion sizes and the food was delicious! At the end of the day, the lighting was fantastic… a photographer’s delight! We were really pleased with our photos and have posted several animal … Continue reading Busch Gardens in Tampa

I finally read the article today, after more than thirty years of being on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ! Google Books has LIFE magazines. I searched in their LIFE magazine collection for “EXPLO 72” and found the article! Bill Bright … Continue reading EXPLO 72

I had no idea what you might be about to say, but I knew that it had nothing to do with work. “I just wanted to tell you that, uh, our church is having a service tonight and, uh . . .” ”What?” I couldn’t believe it. “He’s talking church? Out here? … Continue reading The Fumble

Happy Belated Father’s Day!

Josh made it into the UF Gators football ticket lottery this year and has been enjoying going to all the home games. He wanted to treat Mike to a game and was finally able to get two tickets for this last Saturday as a belated Father’s Day gift. Mike was pretty excited! He made it to Gainesville before dinner and went to David’s Real Pit BBQ with Josh and his roommates. Afterward, Mike and Josh headed for the UF Stadium, a.k.a, The Swamp. They had a great time watching the UF vs. Vanderbilt game together. Mike made it home by … Continue reading Happy Belated Father’s Day!
