The Sower: Explained by a Farmer

With the start of a new year, and a less hectic schedule before me, I plan to return to posting every ten days or so. Thank you for your patience! A friend directed me to a great video which explains the parable of the Sower. The film follows an 80-year-old wheat farmer who explains about growing wheat and how weeds, poor soil, and other factors Jesus mentions in his parable will affect wheat plants. Christmas at Lake Hart

One of our favorite things to do at Christmas is to go to Campus Crusade’s Christmas party at headquarters. We have a large quadrangle between the two main buildings which was filled with people mingling around the tables and with a stage in the center. This year was a pretty chilly night for Florida. Our entertainers for the night work at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. All of the performers were from the Congo originally. You can even see them perform in someone’s home video. Visiting a New Neighbor

Ben is moved in to his new apartment this week and ready to start work on his first full-time permanent job on Monday. Ben, Mike and Sus took three days to drive (31 hours round trip) with his car and our van packed with his things. We had most of Tuesday to help him unpack and run some errands. We had barely unloaded the van when one of his “neighbors” dropped by to say “Hello.” It appears, though, that this little guy looks more interested in visiting the kitchen than getting to know the new neighbor from Florida!
