Happy Belated Father’s Day!

Josh made it into the UF Gators football ticket lottery this year and has been enjoying going to all the home games. He wanted to treat Mike to a game and was finally able to get two tickets for this last Saturday as a belated Father’s Day gift. Mike was pretty excited! He made it to Gainesville before dinner and went to David’s Real Pit BBQ with Josh and his roommates. Afterward, Mike and Josh headed for the UF Stadium, a.k.a, The Swamp. A Day at Sea World

Sea World, very generously, gave Jenny some passes for the weeks she worked there this past summer. So, she came down from school with her roommate, Emily, and their friend, Ezra. Jenny Goes to College

This past Saturday, Josh joined us and helped move Jenny’s things up to the third floor of her dorm. (Mike counted twelve trips up and down.) Pensacola Lighthouse

We were visiting the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola and noticed this lighthouse across the road. We also saw old forts on the Naval Air Station property as we drove out. National Museum – Naval Aviation

We highly recommend the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola. We only spent two hours there. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour which gave us a history of the development of naval aviation. This tour is perfect if you only have a short time to visit. If we go back I would want to have more time to see the displays. I would also check ahead to see when they are offering their outside tours and when the Blue Angels are scheduled to practice. We saw some other aircraft landing and taking off while we were there. The Emerald Coast

Occasionally we like to get off the interstate and enjoy a scenic drive. We thoroughly enjoyed driving on 98 in Florida from Medart to Panama City. I recommend this stretch of road along the Gulf Coast for a drive, for relaxing on the beach, for wildlife viewing, for photography, or for a quiet getaway.
