All 150 families of Campus Crusade staff are safe and accounted for in Egypt. Reaching Students and Faculty on Campuses

The British university environment when C. S. Lewis was a professor at Oxford, was already skeptical and even scornful about Christianity. In the midst of that atheistic and agnostic terrain, he influenced his students for Christ, but he also knew that he could reach a lot more people with his writing, particularly through his stories, more than through his books on apologetics. The Chronicles of Narnia have never been out of print and are popular worldwide, selling over a million copies per year. The Narnia movies have exposed millions more to Lewis’ work.
C. S. Lewis explained the basics of the Christian faith in everyday language on BBC radio during World War II. His popular radio talks were later compiled into Mere Christianity. Our staff at Faculty Commons considers this book one of their most effective evangelistic tools. It continues to lead skeptical and atheistic professors to faith in Christ. “… it was humble men, who had no public or media relevance before the collapse of the mine, who installed the quote of the event all the different media platforms all over the world. A Light in Jerusalem

Labib was running late… “May I see your identification?” An Israeli soldier barred his way…
“Stand against the wall,” the soldier ordered, indicating with a nod of his head that he should line up with several other Palestinians and wait…
“May I say something to you?” he said in passable Hebrew to the soldier who was poring over several sets of papers. “I am a Christian… What I mean is that I am a believer in Jesus Christ, not just a Christian by religion only. Do you know about Jesus Christ? I will tell you about Him!” And so Labib began to tell the story of his Lord.
… While most Palestinians dreaded these inevitable checkpoints that severely restricted their mobility, Labib had come to enjoy the encounters. And he knew the freedom he experienced at these moments was something worth sharing with fellow Palestinians.
