Prayer Opportunities for Lent

One reason I’m writing tonight is because of several prayer opportunities we thought you would want to know about. Perhaps you’ll be interested in one of these. • Our ministry in Europe started praying for the 40 European countries during the 40 days of Lent. It’s not too late to sign up for a daily prayer request for each country. Read more on PrayEurope.com or go directly to the sign-up for an email reminder. • Our ministry leaders are calling for a 40-day prayer focus, March 17 to April 25, to seek God’s face. Jenn’s Mission Trip to New Orleans

Thank you for praying for Jenn’s first mission trip. She and seventeen other Stetson students spent a week in New Orleans helping Habitat for Humanity. I won’t write much because Jenn wrote a beautiful thank you letter to the families that helped fund her trip. Instead of putting her text here, I thought you would enjoy reading the original letter. Let’s also find out some of the highlights of the trip from a letter Bonnie mailed out:

There was so much that God had yet to show us, including strength and perseverance in prayer, joy in the midst of chaos, and trust and full reliance on Him for provision, which my team and I experienced all throughout this trip to Brazil! I want to share with you some of my actual journal entries while in country so you can see how God truly shaped this trip! Continue reading “Bonnie in Brazil – December 2010”

God is at Work in Egypt

Campus Crusade for Christ’s main website has a web page where we will keep friends of the ministry up-to-date with our ministry there. Here’s an excerpt: “Christians are reaching out to those around them. Our staff in Egypt have noticed an incredible openness among the people. As staff members stand side by side with their neighbors to protect their communities, conversations are happening and many are having discussions about faith they would never have had before.” Read more and check back often for updates. NOTE: The … Continue reading God is at Work in Egypt

Bonnie is on her two-week mission trip to Brazil. We hope to post pictures and a blog entry when she gets back home. Although this is Bonnie’s sixth mission trip (fourth international trip), this is her first time as a co-leader of a team. The team of eleven are from Ben and Bonnie’s church. The mission team will be visiting schools and holding events for children in association with Open Arms Brazil. Most of the kids they will be working with come from broken homes or are orphans. The children often get involved in crime, drugs, and prostitution at an … Continue reading Praying for Bonnie in Brazil
