We enjoyed watching the UF vs. FSU game on Thanksgiving weekend. Except for Josh, you can see by our clothing that our loyalties are divided. Jenny is thinking about FSU when she goes to college. Ben has his UF shirt on for his alma mater and a FSU hat because he is studying graduate-level physics at FSU. It was great to enjoy the game together because either team could have won! In one day, we “started” three kids in three schools in three cities! Jenny was first as she headed off to high school this morning. She is glad to be a junior, but was not happy that summer vacation is over. She is especially looking forward to her higher level IB theater coursework. Mike, Ben, and Josh left next at 8 AM with a van and a car full of Ben’s things. They were in Tallahassee by 12:30 waiting in line to get the keys to his apartment. Ben reported to work at 3. Mike, Sus, and Jenny took a ten-day trip to the National Staff Training conference in Colorado. We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day in Rocky Mountain National Park on our day off. In addition to challenging course work with the International Baccalaureate program, Jenny had a supporting role in a school play, It’s A Wonderful Life. Jenny also entered a Shakespearean oratory contest, earning third place. She was inducted into both the Thespian (theater) Honor Society. During her induction week, she had to dress in a different role every day for school. In this picture she is dressed in a toga for a Shakespeare theme.
