Rivership Romance

Some of us from the Information Technology Group enjoyed a relaxing lunch and cruise on the St. John’s river. The food was delicious, and although a bit drizzly that day, we thoroughly enjoyed “going up a lazy river.” We recommend this cruise, on the Rivership Romance, for a slower-paced activity. Josh’s UF Robot Video

Josh thoroughly enjoyed his mechanical engineering lab this past semester. Josh is a hands-on kind of guy and really enjoyed learning how to use the lathes and other equipment. The class was divided into teams to design a robot that could sort golf balls from tennis balls and return the golf balls to a bucket in less than five minutes. This video was made during one of the team’s practice runs. On the testing day, the team’s robot performed the task perfectly in 2 minutes and 12 seconds. Ben’s Reviews

Despite being busy, Ben has managed to write two online reviews for infuzemag.com. Ben explained: “The guy in charge said [the review] was excellent, and basically sent an e-mail to everyone on the team publicly congratulating me. He only added two words, as far as I can tell, so I guess he really liked it!” This is his second review, Pushing Daisies.
