Josh thoroughly enjoyed his mechanical engineering lab this past semester. Josh is a hands-on kind of guy and really enjoyed learning how to use the lathes and other equipment.
The class was divided into teams to design a robot that could sort golf balls from tennis balls and return the golf balls to a bucket in less than five minutes. This video was made during one of the team’s practice runs. On the testing day, the team’s robot performed the task perfectly in 2 minutes and 12 seconds.
The team came out fifth place out of thirty-some teams.
