Moving Josh to Aiken

We had a great four-day trip to help Josh settle in for his first job after college. The movers picked up his things on Thursday, August 26th. We drove about eight hours on Friday to South Carolina and shopped for some things Saturday. The movers arrived at 8 PM on Saturday. Twenty-four hours later, we had assembled the IKEA furniture Josh had purchased in Orlando and had most everything unpacked. So, we just had enough time to do everything we thought of to help him. Ben in Haiti

Ben just returned from a week-long trip to Haiti. Thank you for praying for him on his first missions trip. He said the people were awesome. Brunch with the Bongos

No, we really didn’t eat with the Bongos. We took Josh to Boma, a restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, for brunch. We had been to Boma for the dinner buffet once, but prefer the brunch buffet, which we’ve done a few times. It’s cheaper than dinner, for one, but you also have great opportunities to see the animals surrounding the lodge before and after your meal. When we asked Josh where we could go to celebrate his first engineering job, he chose Boma. The food is delicious, with something for everyone. We enjoy trying the African recipes. Painting a Room

I have Mom and Dad Schmitt to thank for teaching me how to paint a room about fifteen years ago. I had never done it, partially because my mom wallpapered the rooms in our house. (What a job up those stairwells!) So, I asked Josh to help me paint his room this summer. Two weeks ago, Mike and I picked out a nice blue-green and then Josh and I set to work.
