Ben and Bonnie’s Wedding

Our family arrives for Ben and Bonnie's wedding

Our oldest son, Ben, married Bonnie Jones on May 14th.  We love having Bonnie in our family; Mike’s already nicknamed her “The Energizer Bonnie.”  She loves the Lord and is bubbly and positive.  She also enjoys dancing, singing, reading, writing, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and interacting with children.  Bonnie is a pediatric nurse and has gone on several missions trips with her church.

Ben is considerate and easy-going with a playful, mischievous streak.  He loves the Lord and has a good walk with Him, taking his first mission trip to Haiti last August.  He loves to cook, exercise, read, find new music, and serve others.  He’s a patent examiner for laser printers and copy machines.

We had prayed for Ben and his future wife since he was little. God answered many prayers over the years, keeping both of their hearts sensitive to God and bringing Ben and Bonnie together.  God has blessed them both and He was honored in their wedding ceremony.  Thank you for praying for Ben and Bonnie as they seek to follow the Lord together.

We’ve had a busy few months preparing for this first wedding in our immediate family.  We drove up to the D. C. area a week early to help Ben and Bonnie with last-minute details and to move Ben out of his apartment.  As we got closer to the wedding and other family members started arriving, we were able to spend some fun time with our extended family, too.
