A Visit to the Animal Kingdom Lodge

Our newlyweds, Ben and Bonnie, visited us this past weekend for Jenn’s twentieth birthday.  We had a lot of fun and enjoyed being together.

One of our favorite things to do is to go early in the day to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Disney does a fantastic job creating an African atmosphere.  We love the architecture, the interior, and the grounds.  We wandered around to see the different animals in the three savannahs surrounding the lodge, taking some family photos, like this one.

Next, we headed to their breakfast buffet at Boma.  The food is delicious with several African dishes to try.  We’ve gone at dinner time before, which is also good, and pricier, of course.  Breakfast time is still our favorite time to come for special occasions.

If you want to try this, the animals will probably be more visible nearer to dusk or dawn.
