Tim Tebow called the pastor of Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas, asking if he could speak at their Easter Service. The church rented 120 school buses and rounded up 1200 volunteers. The New York Times has a good article about their Easter service.
Tim let “the audience know that it’s important to be outspoken about their faith [and implored] athletes to be better role models.” (from LA Times).
Some Easter Service attendees arrived Saturday night, tailgating at an outlet mall down the street. “That’s a good service, when you have tailgaters,” the pastor said.
We’ve been Tim Tebow fans ever since we watched him play for the University of Florida Gators when our two sons attended there. We have more articles about Tim on our site.
