Introducing!

Patrick James, or “PJ”

After 36 hours of labor, our first grandchild arrived at 11:25 A.M. on Friday, June 15th. Bonnie is doing well; she didn’t complain and just needed a little minor pain medication near the end.

This post is also a Happy Father’s Day wish to our firstborn, Ben.  We know that Ben and Bonnie will be great parents.

Patrick is named after Ben’s Uncle Pat. You might remember that our dear brother-in-law went to be with the Lord right after Christmas. Bonnie met Pat and Nancy for the first time before Christmas and then, tragically, Ben and Bonnie went with us to his memorial service the next week.   (Read more about Uncle Pat.)

Ben and Bonnie also wanted to have a biblical name for their son, so they chose James, which is also Sus’ brother’s name.
