For Father’s Day, Josh and I took Mike to the Kennedy Space Center, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. (For only $5 extra, we bought a year pass: a special price for the anniversary.) The weather was a beautiful, breezy, warm Florida day. We had a great day out together.
The Shuttle Launch Experience is a new-to-us ride. I didn’t go on because of my osteoporosis, but Josh and Mike said they had a non-riders option that I could have taken.
We always enjoy the bus stop to see the Saturn V rocket and also stopped briefly at the Astronaut Hall of Fame, which is included with admission.
Mike and I plan to go back later this summer for a limited-time-only tour of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). The Center also offers other tours, but the extra tour prices are in addition to admission, so we’ll probably stick with just the VAB tour.
