Our soon-to-be son-in-law, Brian, earned a second place in a national contest for one of his videos. I asked him to describe what happened:
Last Fall, I created a video about “mental time-travel” in animals to submit in the Association of American Medical Colleges’s nationwide Basic Research Video Contest. Dr. David Redish at the University of Minnesota believes that rats have the ability to regret past decisions, and his findings could change the way mental illness is treated in humans. The video came in second place!
Brian is enjoying the new challenges and opportunities he’s had as a video producer for the University of Minnesota’s Medical Center. Winning a place in this contest was definitely a highlight for him.
Congratulations, Brian!! We’re proud of you.
