Red Sox

When I learned my cousin was deployed to Baghdad, I placed an order for some sports DVDs from Athletes in Action, Campus Crusade for Christ’s sports ministry. I told some friends who love baseball about the DVDs and sent them the baseball one, Reversing the Curse, with stories from the Red Sox during their comeback in the 2004 season when they won the World Series. A week later, our friends, John and Karen, wrote us: “The DVD arrived today and we just finished watching it. It was GREAT! Thanks soooo much. “At the end, [the DVD] told us how to … Continue reading Red Sox

New Facebook and WordPress Sites

I’m so excited right this minute that I could burst! I just created a Facebook group for The Sower. I am hoping you will find this a great place to talk with other Christians about sharing your faith. Just look for The Sower in Groups. I hope you will join me there. I also finished transferring all Xanga posts to the official WordPress site. I started this transfer almost nine months ago. The tags and searches on the WordPress site should make it easy for you to find old posts or topics that interest you. Continue reading New Facebook and WordPress Sites

I mentally pictured Adam … Continue reading Witnessing to the Extreme

Only once have I continued a conversation while a clerk started helping the next customer. I normally would not do that. If no one is in line behind me, I would like to get in the habit of seeing if we can talk … Continue reading While They Work

Turning Back

I chatted a bit with Mo as I bought salmon at the fresh fish counter. I turned and headed down the aisle to check out. I was not even halfway down the aisle when I sensed God prompting me to go back and give Mo a tract. I started a few mental arguments. “I will look silly going back now!” and “This will be awkward!” God kept up the pressure and I knew before I reached the end of the aisle that I had to turn around. Fortunately, Mo was still at the counter and was not waiting on anyone. … Continue reading Turning Back
