Looking for Dolphins

We were treated to an ecotour yesterday. The guide for the Wild Dolphin Ecotour explained a lot about the ecology and industry surrounding Tampa Bay. We stopped briefly at a wildlife refuge and then, just before turning back, we saw two dolphins for five or ten minutes. We could not get a good photo of them, though.

We were then treated to lunch and an afternoon at the Florida Aquarium, which we highly recommend. The aquarium recreates several environments: an underground spring, a mangrove shore, a beach, and a coral reef. It’s almost as if you are really experiencing these. The otters were very playful that afternoon and especially fun to watch.

Sus made a slide show so you can join us on our adventure.
