Our fourth grandchild arrived Thursday evening, November 16th.

We had some concern for a number of weeks because Lily was breech. Many of you joined us in prayer for the delivery, which was done naturally and ended up being a “textbook breech birth.” Bonnie and baby are doing well.

Bonnie wrote:

Baby #4 is here! Lily is a very alert, happy baby. Lily made quite an entrance into the world bottom first! Even though it was not the home birth I planned for it was still a beautiful and powerful birthing experience, it was difficult at times, but I am so thankful for God’s rich mercy and the way he protected us the whole time as we labored naturally and gave others the opportunity to be a part of a breech birth! Lily has defied many odds already, can’t wait to see what God has in store for her! So thankful to the staff and to my awesome birth care midwife team and to Ben who never left my side and coached me the whole way through! “Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.” 1 Chronicles 29:13 KJV

You know us… you’ll be seeing more photos of this little sweetie… and all four of our precious grandchildren. This photo of the birthday girl is already a favorite pic. Ben and Bonnie traditionally celebrate with a birthday cupcake.

We’re making plans to visit Ben and family in D.C. over Christmas. We appreciate your prayers that we’ll receive my surgeon’s permission to do that and that we’ll have a safe trip. Thank you for praying for Lily and praise God for her new little life.
