“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” ~ Jude 1:3 NKJV
Cru recently held its biennial conference on the campus of Colorado State University (our venue-of-choice for nearly 40 years). More than 4,500 U.S. missionaries heard from various speakers, including Cleveland pastor Alistair Begg of Truth for Life and author Lisa Harper (popular speaker at Women of Faith conferences). Alistair Begg challenged us from the book of Jude saying:
“I am not here to inform you of something you do not know. I am here to remind you of something that you must never forget. That it is the unmistakable purpose of God to include men and women in His forever family and He chooses in the mystery of His providences to enlist us in that exercise.”
Several speakers and seminars emphasized how to respond to today’s ever-changing culture. Almost a third of the seminars addressed different technological needs. Sus had the privilege of leading one of these. More than a hundred attended and, hopefully, left with at least one practical step to better use internet tools to communicate with their donors and disciples.
The U.S. National Conference is also a chance to connect with God, asking Him to direct our ministry as we take the Gospel to the world in partnership with the Body of Christ. Thank you for joining with us both prayerfully and financially as we encouraged our staff to be more effective in their ministries through learning new tech skills.
